Jamie Pocock is the head of cyber analytics for Guy Carpenter International and is based in London. His role includes developing the global strategy with respect to vendor partnerships and bespoke model development, with a focus on both affirmative and non-affirmative cyber risks.
He is part of the Global Model Solutions & Advisory team, and collaborates closely with many analytical and broking colleagues across a range of disciplines and geographies. His responsibilities span placement support as well as cyber analytics advisory and consulting. Jamie has been at Guy Carpenter since the JLT acquisition in April 2019.
Jamie started with JLT Group in 2009 following graduation from the University of Bristol in 2008 with a degree in Maths and Physics with study in Continental Europe. Initially he worked providing administrative, consultancy, and actuarial support for pension schemes, before as serving in a role as the Actuarial Team Coordinator.
In 2014 Jamie moved disciplines from pensions to reinsurance and joined the JLT Re Analytics team. Here his focus was on reinsurance pricing and actuarial development work across a number of different classes of business with an eventual particular focus on cyber and casualty lines. Jamie qualified as an actuary with the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries in 2018, before taking up a role as Head of Cyber Analytics at JLT Re in 2018.
